Formatting Options in User Generated Pages
PolicyConnect allows administrators to create their own modules and policy pages. There are a number of formatting options available when you create your own policy page. These formatting tools can be used to help you deliver important information in an engaging way.
This guide is divided into the following sections:

How to Create a Table in your Own Policy Page
1. Click the pencil in the top-right of the page to reveal the editing screen.
2. Click the Create a Table button which will automatically create a 3 x 3 table.
3. To add more rows to your table > Click your cursor in the bottom row > Click either the Add Row After button or the Add Row Before button, depending on where you want the row to be placed.
4. To add more columns to your table > Click your cursor in the column that you want to add a new column next to, then click the Add Column Before button or the Add Column After button, depending on where you want the column to be placed.
Once you have created your table there are various editing options to choose from. See the table below for more information on these options.

How to Create Headings in your Own Policy Page
You may require Headings and Subheadings to organise information in your Policy Page clearly. PolicyConnect offers three heading options to help your users differentiate between headings and subheadings. See the below examples of the Headings available to you:
To Apply Heading 1 (the largest heading)
- Highlight the text and click the H1 button
To Apply Heading 2 (the medium heading)
- Highlight the text and click the H2 button
To Apply Heading 3 (the smallest heading)
- Highlight the text and click the H3 button
How to Create a Bulleted List in your Own Policy Page
1. Click the Bulleted List button
2. Write the text for your first bullet point.
3. Press the Enter or Return key (depending on your keyboard) and this will create a new bullet point.
4. To turn off the bullet points for next line of text.
a) Press the Enter or Return key.
b) Click the Bulleted List button.
How to Create a Numbered List in Your Own Policy Page
1. Click the Numbered List button
2. Write the text for your first dot point.
3. Press the Enter or Return key (depending on your keyboard.) and this will create a new numbered point.
4. To turn off the numbered points for next line of text.
a) Press the Enter or Return key.
b) Click the Numbered List button.
How to Add a Hyperlink in your Own Policy Page
1. Click the eye in the top menu to enter Administrator View.
2. Click the slider in the top menu to enable Draft Mode. You will know that you are in Administrator View and Draft Mode when the slider is blue, see example image below:
3. Go to the page that you want to add the Hyperlink to.
4. Click the pencil in the top-right of the policy page to reveal the editing screen.
5. Type the word or phrase that you want to link in the body of the policy page. The example used below is "Our Organisation Website".
6. Highlight the word with your cursor, then click the Add Link button which will reveal a grey tab beneath the formatting options.
7. Type or paste the URL into the grey tab. This is the URL that users will be directed to when they click on the hyperlinked text.
8. Click the Enter/Return button on your keyboard, to apply this hyperlink to the highlighted text.
9. Click the save button to save your changes.

How to Add an Image in your Own Policy Page
1. Click the Add Image Button
2. Either
a) Drag and Drop an image from your desktop into the rectangle.
or
b) Click your cursor in the rectangle, this will take you to your files, select an image from your files, then click Open.
3. Wait a few moments for the image to load, then click Upload.
