How to Copy a Form in Assurance

Full Users who want guidance on copying a form in Assurance
Full user type is required. Only a Full user with update rights can copy a form in Assurance.
The article provides step-by-step instructions on how to copy a form in Assurance.
1. Copying a form
1. Select on Registers and Forms from the navigation bar.
2. Navigate and select your desired register. To view all forms, select on All Registers and Forms.
3. Locate the form you would like to copy and select on the Title of the form open it.
4. Under the Details tab of the form, select on the More Actions ellipsis icon.
5. Select on Copy from the dropdown menu.
2. Creating the copy
1. After selecting Copy, a popup modal will appear with the following options.
- Copy To: Allows you to select the desired register location. If copying within the same register, leave the Copy To field unchanged.
- Title: Allows you to modify the title of the new form.
- Person Responsible: Allows you to select the Person Responsible for the new form.
- Additional Options: Allows you to link the new copy to the original form and allows you to copy attachments from the original form to the new form.
2. Select the Create button to create and publish the new form or select the Save as Draft button to create the new form as a draft.

- Copy To: Allows you to select the desired register location. Selecting a different register to copy the form will display a new field called Select fields to copy.
- Title: Allows you to modify the title of the new form.
- Person Responsible: Allows you to select the Person Responsible for the new form.
- Additional Options: Allows you to link the new copy to the original form and allows you to copy attachments from the original form to the new form.
Copying to another register
If you copy to another register, only the common fields will be copied to the destination register. For example, if both registers include a 'Risk Description' field, the data will be copied. However, if the source register has a 'Risk Description' field and the destination register does not, that field will not be copied.
2. After selecting on Select fields to copy, a dropdown menu will appear with the following options:
- All fields that are in both templates: Selecting this option will copy all the fields that the two registers have in common.
- Selected Fields: Selecting this option displays a list of matching fields in both registers. All fields are selected by default, but you can untick any field you do not wish to copy.
- Only fields in the first stage of {Register Name}: Selecting this option will only copy the visible matching fields from the first stage of the destination register.
3. Select the Create button to create and publish the new form or select the Save as Draft button to create the new form as a draft.
