How to Edit a Task/Action in Assurance
Note: Tasks or Actions share exactly the same function and customers may refer to either depending on the adopted terminology in their site.
This article refers to updating the Task or Action which may be re-used often for assignments. It is updating the 'default settings'. If you want to update a specific assignment you will need to access the Assignments tab on the task or action. See this article for how to.
Please Note: If the Admin defaults or the Action/Task Default Settings are changed, they will only apply to actions/tasks or assignments created from that point forward and not retrospectively.
Edit default task/action settings
- Select the Tasks or Actions title to open the Task or Action Library
- Locate the task or action you wish to edit (use your filters if necessary - searching on category or Title is useful) and select the Key
- You should be in the Details section of the selected task or action
- Press the 'Edit' button to change the Task or Action
- Amend Fields as required
- Once you have completed your amendments, scroll to the bottom and select 'Update'
Select 'Edit' or Edit from the 'Default Settings' section on the right
If selecting Edit, make any changes, then select the blue 'Update' button to save the changes.
If the Task or Action is already assigned, you must update the settings on the Task or Action assignment for this to update the existing assignments on the To Do list. The updates on the assignment overwrite settings at the task or action level. You can update overdue assignments using this method too.
