Overview
CompliLearn is powered by Go1 Learn, a modern learning platform designed to provide enhanced tools for managing learning content and user experiences. This guide will help you understand the platform and access key features.
| Note: The best place to learn about platform changes and access the most up-to-date information is directly through the Go1 Help Centre - Go1 Learn. |
About Go1 Learn
Go1 Learn is the evolved version of the Go1 platform (formerly MyGo1), designed to provide:
- Enhanced content management – Improved search, curation, and content preference tools
- AI-powered assistance – Content recommendations and intelligent search
- Better reporting and insights – Track learner progress and content effectiveness
- Streamlined admin workflows – Simplified people management and assignments
- Mobile-ready experience – Access admin functions on any device
Platform Transition Strategy
Go1 is progressively moving features to the new Go1 Learn interface while maintaining legacy MyGo1 functionality during the transition period.
What this means for you:
- Most admin functions are available in both Go1 Learn and MyGo1
- You can switch between interfaces as needed
- Some newer features are only available in Go1 Learn
- Legacy options remain accessible until equivalent functionality is available in Go1 Learn
Exception: Content Preferences Content Preferences is a new feature available only in Go1 Learn. However, once set in Go1 Learn, preferences apply to both Go1 Learn and MyGo1.
Key Differences: Navigation Structure
The navigation in Go1 Learn has been redesigned:
| Menu Item | Purpose in Go1 Learn |
|---|---|
| Search | Browse all available content on your portal and set content preferences |
| Content | View what's currently in your library (what learners can access) |
| People | Manage users and groups |
| Assignments | Track and manage learning assignments |
| Reports | View completion and progress reports |
| Insights | Access analytics and content insights |
Key change from MyGo1: What was previously called "Content" (for browsing) is now "Search". The "Content" menu now shows what's in your library.
Content Preferences
Recommended Approach: Manual Content Curation
We recommend keeping the original manual content curation format and not enabling the new Go1 Content Preferences feature. This approach gives you better control to selectively add only the Ideagen CompliLearn courses relevant to your organisation.
With manual curation, you can:
- Browse available Ideagen CompliLearn content via the Search menu
- Review individual courses before adding them to your library
- Use the plus (+) button to add specific courses you want learners to access
-
Ensure all compliance-related content remains accessible regardless of theme
About Content Preferences (Optional Feature)
Content Preferences is a new Go1 Learn feature that allows you to set intelligent guardrails for content discovery. However, we advise against enabling this feature as excluding certain categories may prevent your Ideagen CompliLearn content from appearing, even when it contains important compliance information.
If you choose to enable Content Preferences, you can:
- Set global preferences for content providers
- Disable specific content categories (e.g., Diversity & Inclusion, LGBTQIA+, Substance Abuse Awareness)
- Set preferred languages for your organisation
Important Limitations:
- You cannot exclude individual courses – only entire categories or providers
- Learners already enrolled in restricted content can still complete it – restrictions only apply to new content discovery
- Portal-created content (your custom courses and playlists) is NOT affected by preferences
- Once set in Go1 Learn, preferences apply to both Go1 Learn and MyGo1
|
Note: If you have enabled the new Content Preferences feature, you can switch back to manual content curation by selecting the "Revert to Manual Content Curation" button (shown in green at the bottom of this screen). We recommend manual curation for Ideagen CompliLearn content, as it allows you to individually choose which courses to add to your library and ensures all relevant compliance content remains accessible. |
Who Can Manage Preferences: Only Administrators and Content Administrators can access Content Preferences. Managers and Learners cannot access this feature.
How to Access (if needed):
- In Go1 Learn, select Content from the main navigation
- Select the Preferences tab
- Make your changes and select Save
All Administrators receive email notifications when preferences are updated.
