Reassigning Users to User Roles in Safe Trip Builder following Hub Migration
Post-migration guide for tenant administrators
Following your migration to Ideagen Hub, your users and their product access have been carried across automatically. However, user role assignments within Safe Trip Builder (STB) are not migrated and will need to be reassigned manually.
This guide walks you through how to reassign user roles directly within STB.

What you'll be reassigning
For each affected user, you will need to reassign their Client ACL-Role — the role that controls what the user can do within STB.
STB has three main user roles:
- client-admin — manages users, student groups, excursion templates, and risk assessment configuration
- client-approver — reviews and approves submitted risk assessments
- client-user — creates and submits risk assessments for approval
Steps
- Log in to Safe Trip Builder and select the Settings icon (⚙️) in the top right corner of the screen.
You will be redirected automatically to the Site Users page. Safe Trip Builder — select the Settings icon in the top right
- The Site Users screen displays all users. Locate the user who needs to be reassigned.

- Click the User ID of the user you want to update to open their record.

Scroll down to Client ACL-Role and select the appropriate role from the dropdown.
Site Users — assign the user's role under Client ACL-Role
- Click Save to confirm the changes.
