Understanding how Policy Connect and Assurance work together through Mazlan
Who is this article for?
Users exploring the capabilities of Mazlan.
Mazlan is required.
Until recently, policy management and assurance were separate activities with separate systems. You would identify a policy issue in Policy Connect, then have to switch to a different tool to raise a review task or record an assurance action. Two logins, two contexts, duplicated effort.
Ideagen Mazlan closes that gap.
What you can do now
Within Policy Connect, Mazlan can now create review tasks that are automatically distributed and managed in Ideagen Assurance without leaving Policy Connect. In practice this means:
- Identify a policy that needs review while working in Policy Connect
- Ask Mazlan to create a review task and it handles the creation in Assurance for you
- The task appears in Assurance, where it can be assigned, tracked, and closed
- No manual switching, no duplicated data entry, no risk of the task getting lost
Why this matters
Assurance actions that originate from a policy review now have a traceable link back to the source policy. That means your audit trail is complete, not just what action was taken, but which policy triggered it, who approved it, and when. That is the kind of evidence that matters in a regulatory inspection.
The bigger picture
This integration is the first step in a broader connected intelligence model. As more Policy Logic products integrate through Ideagen Hub, the connections between policy, assurance, learning, and governance become visible in one place, all powered by Mazlan's shared understanding of your compliance context.
