Copy an Excursion Risk Assessment Profile
Copying an excursion reuses an existing risk profile as the starting point for a new excursion, or turns it into a reusable template. It saves re-selecting the same risk categories each time.
To copy an excursion
Navigate to the Excursions tab.
In the Action column, on the row of the risk assessment profile you want to copy, select the copy icon.
Choose Copy excursion.
The copy is created automatically and named Copy of <Excursion Title>.
Your copied excursion opens on the same screen you see when creating a new excursion, except the risk profile is already pre-populated.
Renaming your copy
To give the copy a different title, open the excursion and edit the title in Excursion Details.
You will still need to complete the checklists and save each section before proceeding to the acknowledgement, and the copied risk assessment goes through the normal approval process.
Creating a template
Choosing Copy excursion and convert to template works the same way — the template is created automatically and named Copy of <Excursion Title>.
To find your templates, use the side panel and select Excursion Templates.
A few things to know about templates:
Templates remain in Draft until the risk assessment is completed and approved.
Templates are a quick way to reuse frequently used excursion profiles.
Templates can be copied in the same way as a regular excursion.
Note: Only the risk profile is copied. The risk assessment itself needs to be re-done each time you copy.
